As an HVAC Service Tech, your main duties include locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services, and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items. You will diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain effective communication with dispatch, your manager, and parts and installation teams.
  • Keep your company truck meticulously clean, both inside and out.
  • Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Diagnose and repair systems with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
  • Possess and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Participate in training programs to foster your professional growth and development.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner

QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problems solving skills.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized service truck and job site.
  • Ability to accept coaching/training from management and peers with a positive mindset. Ability to follow Canady’s Service System on every call.
  • Ability to run callbacks for self or colleagues as requested.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • At least one year of experience in residential HVAC service, maintenance, or repair
  • High School or equivalency preferred
  • Trade School and/or Apprentice License for local jurisdiction
